Hans Strijckers studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Ghent. After completing his military service, he joined Agfa-Gevaert, where he spent about 14 years conducting basic research and developing new imaging products and technologies.

He then transitioned to the Intellectual Property (IP) department, where he qualified as a European Patent Attorney (EQE 2009). In 2011, Hans obtained the litigation certificate for the Unified Patent Court. Furthering his expertise, he earned a Master of IP Law and Management (LL.M) from the University of Strasbourg in 2014.
